Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know about pricing, durability, and prep — straight from the team that does the work.

What is epoxy floor coating?

Epoxy floor coating is a multi-layer resin system applied over prepared concrete. It creates a hard, glossy, chemical- and stain-resistant surface that's easy to clean and built to last for years — ideal for garages, basements, showrooms, and commercial floors.

How much does epoxy floor coating cost in Hampton Roads?

Pricing depends on square footage, floor condition, prep work, and the system you choose (standard epoxy, flake, or polyaspartic top coat). Most residential garages fall between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars. Request a free quote and we'll give you a firm number for your space.

How long does an epoxy floor last?

A properly installed epoxy or polyaspartic floor will typically last 10–20+ years in residential use, and 5–10+ years under heavy commercial traffic. Proper concrete prep is the single biggest factor in longevity — which is why we grind, not just etch.

How do you prepare the concrete before coating?

We diamond-grind the concrete to open the pores, repair cracks and pits, and vacuum thoroughly. This mechanical prep is what makes the coating actually bond — skipping it is why DIY kits peel within a year or two.

How do I clean an epoxy-coated floor?

Sweep or dust mop regularly, then damp mop with warm water and a mild pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh acids and abrasive pads. For tire marks, a soft brush with degreaser works well.

How long before I can park on or use the floor?

You can usually walk on the floor within 24 hours and drive on it after about 72 hours, depending on the system and weather. We'll give you exact return-to-service times for your specific job.

What's the difference between auto detailing and ceramic coating?

Detailing cleans, polishes, and protects your vehicle short-term (weeks to months). Ceramic coating is a semi-permanent paint protection layer that lasts multiple years — repelling water, dirt, and UV — and is applied after a full paint correction.
